Function of Department

ABOUT AUQAF:
The Auqaf Department was  made a Provincial subject in 1979 and enforced vide the Sindh Waqf Properties Ordinance 1979.

• To manage and maintain the Waqf Properties including Dargahs & Masjids.
• To Make proper arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, Wazookhana for performance of religious rites at the Shrines and Masjids.
• To construct Musafirkhana, Langerkhana, Lavatories etc at the various shrines for providing maximum facilities to the visiting Zaireens, Civil work at Dargah, Repair & Renovation.
• To generate Revenue from the Waqf Properties, contracts, rent and lease etc.
